It has installed just fine but for some reason I cant activate it over the internet even though I have an internet connection (i'm using that PC right now). It just comes up with message number 32777 (unable to establish a connection with the activation server. Please check your network settings and confirm that are able to connect to the internet, then try again.) I though the problem was that I already have the same copy installed on another harddrive but in the same pc, but asumed that it would come up with another sort of error.

Reformat and be careful to pay attention to the install process of XP. Maybe some configuration error happened when XP was setting up the Internet properties. Don't you have to be online even when you telephone MS to activate?
