Dec 29, 2012 I was given this radio, however it now turns out it's a useless metal brick. The software I found on WR website was written for MS-Windows 16-bit. Educational Software; Math Software; WINRADIO; WINRADIO for Mac Free. The standard WiNRADiO WR-1550e hardware is supported by native Mac software. WinRadio 1550e External computer interface receiver product. Compare WiNRADiO WR-1550e side-by. Receiver software are available free from the winradio.

Neither the WR-1550e, or the PCR-1000, are built on ISA cards. Both these models are external devices, that communicate to the computer via an RS232 serial port. WiNRADiO does offer the internal card version, and as you say, it is on an ISA card. Icom, to my knowledge, never offered an internal one.
