Version: 1511 OS Build: 10586.36 Aventail Connect with Smart Tunneling version: 10.7.1.477 After this forced update I am not able to connect to my VPN via Aventail Connect. Goto Settings ->Network & Internet ->Dial-up ->Select the dial-up profile 2.

Select Connect Error: I briefly see the status change om the network & internet window but it comes back to the connect option. No error messages displayed or popups. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling aventail, no success. This the latest and greatest aventail that is provided to me. Rolling back to Windows 10 build 10240 allows me to connect successfully and no issues/errors. However, the rollback created more issues, it caused me to lose my Windows Store, which prevents any stock apps like calculator from running.

If anyone has any idea, please help. I know it's a Windows issue, because it worked just before the Update, so please don't answer this question by saying go talk to Aventail. Issue seems to be VPN/Dialup connections break after this update. The Aventail app is still there too.

I have Windows 10 version 1511, so this must be one of the connectivity issues that come up after the update. I already had to do a reset while keeping my files, which reinstalled Windows 10 and immediately updated it to version 1511.

I was having connectivity issues before I did the reset, too, and it'd gotten to the point where I couldn't connect to the Internet at all. Troubleshooting reported a problem with the wireless adapter or access point, but I did have the latest driver installed for my wireless adapter. Following the suggestions above, I used the Windows 10 Compatibility wizard which recommended I set the compatibility of the Aventail installer to Windows 8. I did this and was able to successfully re-install it and start using the Aventail dial-up client again as it was prior to the recent Windows 10 updates - i.e., the login screen that was no longer popping up, was back and I was able to login as before. Note that in the meantime whilst Aventail was broken, I was using the SonicWALL client through the Windows 10 VPN option.
