Voom Receiver Manual
From a little reading over at satelliteguys I think I have a Winegard powered antenna (left over from my voom install). Problem is I the voom box powers the antenna. If I move the input to my TV's antenna input I only get 2 stations. I can still get locals fine when hooked up to the voom receiver, since I disconnected the LNB before the kill signal, but the guide no longer functions.
Are there any options to get the antenna to work without the box? Would it work, or be safe, to run a splitter between the voom box and TV. On the back of the voom receiver the antenna line connects to a box on the back of the receiver. This box looks like an add-on to the receiver. Could this be the unit that powers the antenna? If read this right, you are no longer using the VOOM box for anything other than OTA. If this is correct I would use the above pictured power splitter and run the voom box into the powerleg.
I have two very good condition VOOM DSR-550 receivers with the OTA module and subscription card included. Every Friday on trash day I think about. Does the Voom receiver do QUAM or QAM i forget what it is called, where the receiver will pick up unscrambled cable channels? Can you provide iv-707 ivoom satellite receiver english manual. A simpler and preferred way would be to obtain a proper power supply from winegaurd that matches your antenna type. Either that is the issue or another thing may be your tv is in the 'cable' mode instead of antenna or broadcast mode. If the tv is in the wrong mode, you will only get OTA channels up to 13 (14 and up are UHF channels, different than 14 and up cable channels).
